ProtoCode is a software engineering studio in Zrenjanin, Serbia, founded in January 2021 by Miloš Živković. We work remotely, mostly with international clients, and take on clients from anywhere.

founder and owner of ProtoCode

Twelve years in software and cloud engineering. Technical Lead for a SaaS platform since 2022, and back-end developer on the same platform from 2019 to 2022; before that, full stack development on freelance projects.

He works across cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, distributed systems, TypeScript, Node.js, AWS and AI. All client work is contracted and invoiced through ProtoCode.

How we build: agents first.

Before an agent writes any code, we define the system it works in: the architecture, the conventions, the boundaries and the context it needs. The goal is a codebase an agent can understand before a person has to read it.

That is how we ship much faster than a conventional workflow. The speed comes from the engineering around the agents, not from skipping it: nothing an agent writes reaches production until it has passed the tests and CI and Miloš has reviewed it.
